At Pasco Regional Medical Center, everyone knows when baby arrives because a lullaby plays throughout the hospital so everyone can celebrate the birth of our babies.

Following the birth of your baby, you will be moved to a mother and baby suite.  In your mother and baby suite, you will have a new nurse who will care for you and your baby.  Our nurses are experts in helping new moms learn how to care for their little ones.  Additionally, you have the choice of keeping your baby in your room or in the Baby Patch Nursery.  If you need rest or wish to take a break, the nursery staff will be more than happy to care for your baby.  However, to form a bond with your new baby, we encourage our moms and dads to keep baby with them in the comfort of their room.

Childbirth Classes, Safe Sitter Classes and an Expectant Parents Tour of our Obstetrics Suite (The Baby Patch)

In addition to quality care in a safe, compassionate environment, we've added expectant family classes to celebrate and prepare for the birth of your new baby!

Childbirth Classes - This is a series of five childbirth classes including infant CPR.  They focus on childbirth techniques, breathing exercises, what to expect, the role of the support person and how to manage labor.

Expectant Parents Tour - This tour of our obstetrics suite (The Baby Patch) answers questions about what to bring to the hospital, pre-admission procedures, your stay and more.  To schedule your tour, please call (352) 521-1138.

Safe Sitter Class - This is a two-session class that teaches young people ages 11 and older emergency care of the younger child.  Because of the cost of course materials, there is a minimal charge of $25.  Students who complete the course receive a Safe Sitter Certificate of  Completion.

To register for any of the above classes, please call (352) 521-1138.

To Schedule a tour of the Baby Patch, please call labor and delivery at (352) 521-1145.
